Azusa Hirota was born in Japan, Kanagawa, Yokohama. She graduated from Toho University (Japan) in 2001 where she received her Bachelor of Science in Physics. She studied at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture where she received her Acupuncture Diploma in 2019, Massage Therapy Diploma in Alberta in 2020, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2021 and Reiki Master taught by Brianne Carter Holistic Wellness in 2022 .

Azusa realized her passion for health care in her twenties. She worked as a caregiver for elderly people with disabilities at a nursing home. She wanted to further her healthcare education so she attended a nursing program. In 2015, Azusa successfully immigrated to Canada and she decided to pursue her career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Azusa practices TCM Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Therapeutic Massage, Cupping and Reiki Energy Healing. She is a member of the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta, the Alberta Association of Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors and the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association.

Azusa has a black belt in Aikido, which is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba as a synthesis of his martial studies and philosophical beliefs. Aikido is often translated as "the way of unifying life energy". She cherishes the idea of the “life energy of Ki (Chi)” for treatment through air and nature. Azusa has strong Qi (Ki) and “Fire hands” for helping your energy.
